Product details
Soplica Strawberry Vodka Liqueur is a Polish strawberry vodka liqueur from Soplica, made with strawberries from Polish fields on a rye and wheat grain spirit base, at 28% ABV in a 50cl bottle. In Polish it is Truskawkowa. Delicate sweetness and a mild taste make it an easy addition to drinks and desserts, and the strawberry character stays fresh rather than candied. It is often sought as strawberry vodka, though in the glass it is a soft strawberry liqueur. Pour it at summer lunches, with afternoon tea or whenever strawberries are on the table.
Soplica Strawberry tasting notes
- Nose: Fresh strawberries with a light strawberry-jam sweetness.
- Palate: Delicate, sweet and fruity, with a soft texture and gentle acidity.
- Finish: Short to medium, clean and berry-led.
How to serve Soplica Strawberry
Serve it chilled, over ice, or poured over vanilla ice cream. It pairs with strawberries and cream, Victoria sponge, a light cheesecake and Polish pierogi filled with strawberries. It suits a garden lunch in June, when British and Polish strawberries are both in season.
Soplica Strawberry cocktails
- Strawberry Spritz: 40 ml Soplica Strawberry over ice in a wine glass, topped with 80 ml prosecco, 40 ml soda water and a halved strawberry.
- Strawberry Daiquiri: 40 ml Soplica Strawberry, 20 ml white rum and 20 ml fresh lime juice, shaken with ice and strained into a chilled coupe.
- Strawberries and Cream: 30 ml Soplica Strawberry and 30 ml single cream, shaken with ice and strained into a small glass.
How it compares
Soplica Raspberry, at the same 28%, is jammier and more tart. For a citrus-berry style, Soplica Lemon and Raspberry is fresher and sharper. Choose the strawberry for the gentlest, most delicate fruit of the three, especially when the drink is going alongside dessert.
Good to know
Soplica Strawberry 50cl is a bright addition to a summer picnic or a hamper of Polish treats. Keep it in the fridge in warm weather so it is ready to pour. Wodka Company ships Soplica Strawberry around the UK from our London shop.
