Product details

Miodula Premium Distilled Gin is a Polish gin from the Miodula brand, made from nine botanicals distilled separately in small batches and finished with honey, at 40% ABV in a 50cl bottle. The botanical list is unusually precise: sweet oranges and whole lemons from Spain, juniper and orris root from Italy, coriander from Morocco, angelica root, cardamom and liquorice root from India, and whole vanilla pods from Madagascar. Distilling each one on its own lets the blend be balanced afterwards. The honey softens the edges, but this is not a sweet honey gin. It suits gin and tonic drinkers who like citrus and spice.

Miodula Gin tasting notes

  • Nose: Juniper and fresh orange peel, lifted by cardamom.
  • Palate: Bright citrus and coriander spice, rounded by honey and a creamy vanilla note.
  • Finish: Dry juniper with a rooty touch of liquorice and angelica.

How to drink Miodula Gin

Use a copa or highball glass packed with ice and keep the tonic cold, as warm mixers flatten the citrus. Neat or over a single cube, it pairs with smoked salmon, cured trout and herring in cream, which makes it an unexpected but easy match for a Polish fish course. On a summer evening in the garden it lengthens well with plenty of ice and a light tonic.

What to mix with Miodula Gin

  • Miodula gin and tonic: 50 ml Miodula Premium Distilled Gin topped with 150 ml light tonic, garnished with a strip of orange peel and a lightly crushed cardamom pod.
  • Bee's Knees: shake 50 ml of the gin with 20 ml fresh lemon juice and 10 ml honey syrup over ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
  • Orange Negroni: stir 25 ml gin, 25 ml sweet vermouth and 25 ml Campari over ice in a rocks glass and add an orange twist.

How it compares

Miodula Polish Vodka shares the 40% strength, but the gin is driven by botanicals rather than rye and oak. Miodula Sweet Lemon echoes the citrus theme as a sweet 28% liqueur, whereas the gin is dry and built for mixing. Compared with a classic London Dry, the honey and vanilla give a softer, rounder middle.

Good to know

As a Polish distilled gin with honey, it makes a good talking point for gin lovers who think they have tried every style. The Miodula Premium Distilled Gin 50cl bottle fits neatly on a home bar shelf. Wodka Company posts Miodula Premium Distilled Gin to customers across the UK whenever it is in stock.

Frequently asked questions

Is Miodula Gin sweet?

No, Miodula Premium Distilled Gin is a dry, juniper-led gin. The honey and Madagascan vanilla soften the edges of the citrus and spice rather than making the gin taste sugary.

What tonic goes with Miodula Gin?

A light Indian tonic keeps the orange and lemon in Miodula Premium Distilled Gin at the front. A Mediterranean-style tonic brings out the herbal side instead, and both suit a garnish of orange peel or a sprig of rosemary.

Is Miodula Gin a Polish gin?

Yes, Miodula Premium Distilled Gin is made in Poland by the Miodula brand, best known for its honey spirits. Its nine botanicals are sourced from Spain, Italy, Morocco, India and Madagascar, while the added honey links it to the rest of the range.
