Product details

Soplica Grapefruit and Orange Vodka Liqueur is a Polish grapefruit and orange liqueur from Soplica, combining sweet orange with tangy grapefruit at 25% ABV in a 50cl bottle. Sold in Poland as Grejpfrut z Pomarańczą, it opens sweet and ends with a slightly bitter grapefruit aftertaste, with a pronounced citrus aroma from the first pour. That gentle bitterness makes this grapefruit liqueur feel lighter and fresher than the berry flavours. It suits warm evenings, garden gatherings and anyone who enjoys a Paloma or a bittersweet spritz.

Soplica Grapefruit and Orange tasting notes

  • Nose: Pink grapefruit zest and juicy orange, bright and fresh.
  • Palate: Sweet orange juice up front, then a tangy grapefruit edge.
  • Finish: Short to medium and clean, with a slightly bitter note of citrus pith.

How to serve Soplica Grapefruit and Orange

Keep it in the fridge and serve it ice-cold in a small glass, or long over plenty of ice with soda or tonic. The citrus works with grilled prawns, salads with a citrus dressing, ceviche and a light lemon tart. In summer, a jug lengthened with soda and sliced fruit makes an easy aperitif for the garden, poured in modest measures.

Soplica Grapefruit and Orange cocktails

  • Paloma-style Highball: 50 ml Soplica Grapefruit and Orange over ice, 30 ml fresh pink grapefruit juice and 100 ml soda water, with a pinch of salt and a grapefruit wedge.
  • Citrus Spritz: 50 ml Soplica Grapefruit and Orange in a wine glass with ice, 75 ml prosecco and 25 ml soda water, garnished with an orange slice.

How it compares

Soplica Lime and Orange at 28% also features orange, but it swaps the grapefruit bitterness for sharper lime and a marmalade note. Soplica Bitter at 32% contains unripe orange too, yet it is a herbal bitter rather than a fruity citrus liqueur. This bottle sits between the two: sweeter than the bitter, with a more grown-up edge than the lime.

Good to know

Soplica Grapefruit and Orange 50cl is a good bottle for summer entertaining, since a small measure flavours a whole long drink. Keep it chilled after opening for the freshest citrus aroma. Wodka Company delivers Soplica Grapefruit and Orange UK-wide from our London base.

Frequently asked questions

Is Soplica Grapefruit and Orange bitter?

No, Soplica Grapefruit and Orange is mainly sweet and citrusy, with only a light grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Anyone after a properly bitter drink should try Soplica Bitter (Gorzka) instead, which is built around unripe orange and herbs.

What is the difference between Soplica Grapefruit and Orange and Soplica Lime and Orange?

Soplica Grapefruit and Orange and Soplica Lime and Orange both start from sweet orange, but the second citrus changes the finish. Grapefruit adds a gentle bitterness, whereas lime gives a sharper, sour tang.

What mixer goes with Soplica Grapefruit and Orange?

Tonic water suits Soplica Grapefruit and Orange, as its quinine bitterness echoes the grapefruit finish. Pour 50 ml over ice, top with 120 ml tonic and add a slice of pink grapefruit; ginger ale gives a softer, spicier alternative.
