Sitting between the citrus and tropical sides of the Exotic range, it is a sweet and sour tropical liqueur: the kumquat keeps it fresh, and the mango gives a lush, perfumed aroma. It suits anyone who enjoys mango but wants more zing than a purely sweet fruit drink.

Soplica Exotic Kumquat and Mango in the glass

Nose: Ripe mango flesh, orange-like kumquat peel and a light floral edge.

Palate: Juicy and tropical, with tangy citrus slicing through the mango sweetness.

Finish: Medium length and fruity, with a zesty peel note on the tail.

How to serve Soplica Exotic Kumquat and Mango

Serve it chilled, neat in a small glass or over a few cubes of ice. Sweet mango and citrus tang pair well with gently spiced dishes such as chicken satay, prawn tempura with sweet chilli dip or Caribbean rice and peas, and with a mango or lime sorbet for dessert. Soplica Exotic Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange goes the other way, with a drier, pithier citrus profile. For a mango liqueur with a lively citrus edge, this bottle sits neatly in the middle of the Exotic line, at the same 21%.

Good to know

The Soplica Exotic Kumquat and Mango 50cl bottle is a sensible size for trying an unusual flavour before settling on a favourite.
