A light grain note stays in the background, so it reads clearly as a lemon vodka rather than a soft citrus drink. The finish is sweet-sour, with sweetness winning in the end. It suits people who like a small, ice-cold glass of citrus with Polish food, or a crisp long drink in summer.

Polmos Cytrynówka tasting notes

Nose: The whole lemon, from zest and juice to bitter pith, with cereal underneath.

Palate: Lemon peel and sweetness, candied lemon and grapefruit peel, plus a floral hint of elder.

Finish: Sweet-sour and fresh, with the sugar coming through last.

How to drink Polmos Cytrynówka

Keep the bottle in the freezer and pour it ice-cold into a kieliszek alongside smoked mackerel, herring in oil or a plate of cold cuts. Within the Polmos line, Polmos Gruszkówka is rounder and fruitier with less acidity, and Polmos Pigwówka is more complex and floral.
